The Power of Positive thinking is perhaps one of the most imperative parts in your journey in falling pregnant. It is understandable that there will be ups and downs; just remember we are all human and every body’s health, lifestyle and body genetics are different. However, what’s important is how you can powerfully keep going, learn from your past, understand what direction is best for you next, and believe that you are capable of having a child. Through positive thinking your heart will be more fulfilled, passionate, nurturing, self-accepted… all areas which in turn affect your fertility and the effortless attributes possessed by a mother. The title of this book ‘Womb to Heart’ shows how powerfully the relationship between our womb and our heart and our heart to our womb can affect our chances of fertility.
One of my most favorite reads in this area is by Aimee E. Raupp, who wrote ‘Yes, you can get pregnant’ (2014). I love how she explains the importance of shifting from being infertile focused to being fertility focused. Infertility is an ugly and negative word and if it is something you are constantly telling yourself or concerned about then it will affect your heart, which in turn will affect your changes in falling pregnant. The word infertility takes away some of the power we have over our health and our fertility. And I love this exact line in Raupp’s (2014) book when she states …
“So lets make a pact right now: no more of that word! Rather, lets shift our perspective to fertility. You are not infertile; your insides just need a little fertility enhancement or your lady parts need some fertility rejuvenation. None of which means you are broken or that you can not get to where you want to be, which is brimming, overflowing, and abundant with pregnancy.”
So my advice to you is to surround yourself with positive people, indulge in ways to nurture yourself and look after yourself and work with a specialist who you are comfortable with and believe in what they offer you.

Hello and welcome, my name is Tenille Samuelson and I am the heart and soul of ‘A Woman’s Wellness’.
Who am I? I am a mother, a wife, an instructor, an educator, a business owner, a cook, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and the kind of person who seeks the best in others and makes the most out of life. As women we are so much, do some much, can be so much. This is why we need to live a healthy life and look after ourselves. That’s how my passion in working in health and fitness has evolved… Through my experiences in trying to find balance, trying to fall pregnant, over coming injury, fatigue and stress. In helping clients get the most from life and feeling the best they possibly can.
My fitness and health career started at 17 years of age when I completed my first Pilates Course. Pilates was my choice of exercise as it helped support me through my dance career as a teenager while suffering from lower back and knee issues. Over the next few years I furthered my studies in Pilates doing everything from floor, Reformer, pregnancy, athletic conditioning and Injuries and Special needs training. At 21 years old, I graduated from Griffith University with a Diploma in Business, Event Management and Marketing and started my first Pilates studio, Pilates Elements. I devoted everything to my business and it grew quickly and an amazing community was created. I poured all my efforts and energy in to the studio and was so passionate in learning about the body and all areas of holistic health. I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing specialists in many fields from naturopathy, to acupuncture to physiotherapy to midwifery to Essential Oils. As with any business we have our ups and downs, and owning a health and fitness studio is a challenging industry to work in. You give, give, give and work odd hours and put so much energy in to others. As much as I loved what I did it took a toll on my health and body, as I started doing less for me and more for others. When my husband and I decided to start a family it was then that I realised how depleted my body was, how much I stopped caring for me and my health and the balance in life. I was only 26 years old. How lucky I am to be aware of my neglect and be surrounded by people who supported me in nurturing myself once again. It took a year of meditation, learning how to rest, practicing more yoga (especially Restorative Yoga), Pilates, Acupuncture and Chiropractic work to get my body back to good health and ready to conceive a baby. From this personal experience and seeing so many others go through the same my next business journey evolved….
After my experience through trying to conceive my now 2-year-old daughter Maeve (born September, 2014), I knew I wanted to specialise further in creating a business that supported a holistic approach for women. During this time I was fortunate enough to be surrounded and connect to some amazing therapists, specialists and teachers who guided me with the safest, healthiest and most natural ways to conceive. Through my experience I knew I had to share it with others and to educate that ‘preparation for fertility’ is the most important part when trying to conceive a baby. Also as it is an emotional rollercoaster for most women, positive thinking and working with a therapist who you trust and feel comfortable with is imperative. In 2015, I decided to further my studies in Yoga with Bliss Baby Yoga studying areas in Yoga for Women’s health (pregnancy, menstrual cycle, fertility, menopause, restorative Yoga).
It is with my collaborated teachings in Yoga and Pilates and the many holistic therapists I have learnt from over 10 years that ‘A Women’s Wellness’ was created. I hope our website can offer you an abundance of holistic and healthy information and techniques to help support you throughout your different stages as a women.

As women and especially if you’re a mother we hold on to so much unnecessary guilt and the need to want to offer more. Today’s society of women is very different to one of 20 years ago. It’s not right or wrong it’s just different. We work more, we exercise more, we look after our families and we strive to be more in life. As a woman I want you to know you are worthy and deserving of self-love, time for you and just you. And I know you are thinking in your head I don’t have time, how can I leave my kids, how can I fit it in amongst work, I feel bad to just go out and do something for me. Well too bad. If you want to keep giving and giving and strive more and more than you need to show some self-love and give back to yourself.
In my recent Teachers Yoga training in Women’s Health with ‘Bliss Baby Yoga’ we did a lot of journaling and one area we focused on was listing things that we love and provides self-love and giving back to ourselves. It can be as simple as having a tea once a day where you can relax and enjoy it for even 10 minutes. Or booking in a massage once a month. Or doing a regular Yoga class once a week. Or sitting on the beach reading a book. Find your happy place. Find your happy things and make a plan and effort to do these daily, weekly or monthly. It will energise you, relax you, make you feel loved, cared for and give you a sense of self.
“Women have a tremendous fear of feeling our tiredness. We are afraid that if we let ourselves feel it we will never get up again. My tiredness is mine. I have earned it.”
– Anne Wilson Shaef, “Meditations for Women Who Do Too Much”.
I have been so blessed to meet and surround myself with amazing women who teach me to embrace the self-love. One amazing lady I met during my teacher training with ‘Bliss Baby Yoga’ is Star Despres (educator) who has a heart so big and gentle any women would want to get to know her and learn from her experiences and teachings. If you want to indulge in two ways you can self-love and need more guidance then visit Star’s site http://www.divinestar.com.au/. When you sign up to her mailing list she will send you out a free copy of her book ‘Nourish- Exploring the Love of sacred Self care’.
